Butterflies 'n Beer @ Audubon Arizona - Note: THIS IS NOT A CAZBA ORGANIZED EVENT
location:
Wednesday, October 29, 2014
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
On Wednesday October 29, you are invited to come to Audubon Arizona, Phoenix – where the popular “birds & beer” program for this month is dedicated to an evening presentation featuring butterfly expert Karen Oberhauser. This event is co-sponsored by the Southwest Monarch Study. The program is free; snacks and drinks by donations to Audubon Arizona only. Oberhauser’s a University of Minnesota professor in the department of Fisheries, Wildlife & Conservation Biology. Passionate about conserving the world’s biodiversity, she pursues connections with projects that unite monarchs, humans and the natural world (in 2013 she received a White House Champion of Change award for her work with citizen science). We all thrill at the sight of a monarch butterfly – join us Wednesday and learn why this iconic insect is in danger -- and how we can move beyond the documentation of decline to help save populations. Audubon Arizona is at 3131 South Central Avenue in Phoenix (85040), connect and learn more at https://www.facebook.com/audubonAZ
