The Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Saturday, January 9, from 2 till 4pm at the Papago Buttes Church of the Brethren, 2450 N. 64th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 (On the NW corner of Oak and 64th St. (This is about a mile north of the Desert Botanical Garden). We will discuss the 2016 board challenges, have the treasurer go over the treasurer's report and talk about our plans for the upcoming year. There will be lemonade and fresh baked cookies:)!
Our speaker for the 2016 meeting is Kathleen Prudic, PhD (http://www.science.oregonstate.edu/~prudick/index.html). Please join her to learn about eButterfly, an online shared repository for your butterfly checklists and photos. eButterfly is also a community resource to see what butterflies are out and about in real time across North America. Dr. Prudic is a University of Arizona graduate with expertise in butterfly behavior and physiology. She finds herself back in Tucson and can not wait to share her butterfly adventures regarding eButterfly, conservation and the role of citizen science in scientific discovery.
